When “Blessings” Rain, It Pours!

It is still the rainy season in the Philippines and we have experienced several typhoons over the past months. I know some of you, our dear friends, have checked on us when the typhoons hit our city. Thanks for your prayers and for remembering us!  I feel sorry for those who were flooded, so, thank you for those who have joined us in praying and helping them .

You have heard the expression, when it rains, it pours. While that is usually used when things go wrong and many bad situations add up to that, I would like to use the expression in a positive way for me and Anderson this month.

Some of you have read Anderson’s blog about his Mother’s Wish, if you have not checked yet, we have continuously written updates of God’s provisions at the bottom of the blog entry. Feel free to check how God works wonders! We now have 22.18% left to reach the goal! Yay! 🙂

Surprises! Surprises! Surprises left and right from our heavenly Father!

My heart is bursting with joy and I keep saying HOW SWEET IT IS TO BE GOD’S CHILD! I am thinking over and over again how we doubt God many times and belittle Him when things seem impossible; we get paralyzed and we don’t step out in faith.

In the middle of God’s blessings through different people, Anderson encouraged his mom to apply for a transit visa to the US so that we can find cheaper flights for her to the Philippines. She has never gone out of her country before, never had a passport, and had never ridden a plane before, but she is taking every step of faith to our Father in heaven who is loving and gracious to all of us.

I remember closing my eyes that night before her interview and I prayed that God’s will be done. When I opened my eyes in the morning, a wonderful news greeted me– she was granted a visa! Last week when we saw it, it was actually more than what she applied for! 🙂

Surprises! Surprises! Surprises left and right from our heavenly Father!

While all of this was happening, Anderson and I have also been praying for God’s direction to our lives after we get married. There are some mission opportunities given to us, and we have been considering the places that are shared before us. We want to be sensitive to God’s voice and leading.

Last week, the regional leaders of our denomination invited us to attend a Mission Strategy Training that will happen at the end of this month in Singapore. While we really don’t  have the means now  to go there, or to attend such a training, God has once again provided for us! I know that He is leading us step by step to where He wants us to go. 🙂 We are looking forward to what God will speak to our hearts and to respond in obedience to his call.

Surprises! Surprises! Surprises left and right from our heavenly Father!

Would you please include us in your prayers?
We want to know where the Lord wants us to go.
We want to be obedient to Him.
We want to be available and ready to say Yes!
We want to follow His will.
Would you partner with us in prayers?
